

Location: Revive MS Support Centre (Govan)
Time Commitment: Weekly (flexible hours, to be agreed)
Purpose of the Role
Our Community Café is at the heart of Revive MS Support, providing a warm and welcoming space for people living with MS, their families, and carers. As a Café Volunteer, you’ll help prepare and serve light refreshments, including tea, coffee, soup and toasties, while also creating a friendly and inclusive environment for everyone who visits the centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving teas, coffees, toasties, soup and other light refreshments
- Assisting in the kitchen with food preparation and ensuring good hygiene practices are followed
- Taking orders and serving food and drinks at tables
- Helping to keep the café area clean and tidy
- Offering a warm welcome to visitors and engaging in friendly conversation
- Working as part of a team with staff and other volunteers
Skills and Qualities Needed
- Good listening and communication skills
- Reliable and able to follow basic food hygiene guidance (training will be provided)
- Comfortable working independently with support
Training & Support Provided
- Online food hygiene certificate to be completed before starting in the kitchen
- Support from Kitchen Manager a trained chef.
