We were thrilled to welcome First Minister John Swinney to the Revive MS Support centre this week. The visit showcased the vital role Revive MS Support plays in improving the lives of people affected by Multiple Sclerosis across Scotland.
Mr Swinney toured the Revive centre, met our team, and engaged directly with our service users to understand how our person-centred support improves physical, emotional, financial, and social well-being for people affected by MS.
By providing instant services, we focus on prevention, supported self-management, and reducing escalation to primary and acute care, delivering significant cost savings to the NHS.
During the visit, Mr Swinney joined in on the festive cheer at one of our ‘Friends of Revive’ social group’s Christmas party, getting to know our service users and sharing stories. Swinney also visited an exercise group class, experiencing first-hand how tailored physical activity and specialised equipment is essential for physical exercise for people with MS.
Speaking about the visit, Mr Swinney said:
“Revive MS Support is a magnificent organisation and it brings together so many of the supports that are necessary for people with MS. I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to see first-hand, the compelling nature of the support that’s given to people as a result of this charity.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to John Swinney and his team for taking the time to visit and advocate for the needs of the MS community and spread awareness of the impact we have at Revive MS Support.
